The scheme, led by Assam’s Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, encourages girls to pursue independence and higher education. The government has allocated between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1 lakh for textbooks, with undergraduate and graduate students receiving incentives worth Rs. 1500 and Rs. 2,000.
